My path into the financial services industry wasn’t something I had mapped out from the beginning. Like many people fresh out of college, I was trying to figure out what direction to take when I stumbled across an opportunity in financial services. What started as a “let’s see where this goes” moment quickly became a career and passion that has now spanned more than 33 years.
Over the years, I’ve learned that financial planning is never just about the numbers. It’s about people, relationships, life changes, and helping someone feel more confident about where they’re headed. I love getting to know my clients, hearing their stories, and helping untangle the financial pieces so they can move forward with clarity and peace of mind. Every client situation is different, which is one of the things I continue to enjoy most about this work after all these years.
Before joining Encore Financial, I owned Financial Planning Partners, after previously spending many years with Ameriprise. Throughout my career, I have remained committed to continuing education and professional growth, earning the ChFC®, CLU®, CRPC®, and WMCP® designations along the way. I especially enjoy working with women navigating major life transitions such as retirement, divorce, career changes, or the loss of a spouse. I believe the best financial planning starts with listening first and building a plan together that reflects what matters most to each person and family.
Outside of work, you can usually find me at home in Woodbury with my husband, Scott, where life is filled with family, home renovation projects, and time spent with our beautiful, blended family — including our adorable granddaughter. Family is truly my “why” and one of the biggest reasons I’m so passionate about helping others create confidence and security for the future. I have proudly served with WIFS (Women in Financial Services) and Twin Cities Chapter President, helping encourage and support the next generation of women advisors.
